Living in a regional community shouldn't mean travelling long distances to access care or struggling to find trusted health information. Yet for many people across the Yarra Valley, this has often been the reality.
Women's health, in particular, has historically been under-recognised, under-researched and difficult to access. Too many people are left feeling unheard, unsupported or unsure where to turn.
Yarra Valley Women's Health was created to help change that.
Our purpose is to bridge the gaps in healthcare by improving access to services, empowering our community through education and providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care closer to home.
Why We Exist
While we operate as a fee-for-service healthcare clinic, becoming a registered charity reflects something much bigger than our business structure, it reflects our purpose.
Our priority isn't simply providing appointments. It's creating lasting improvements in healthcare for our local community.
Operating as a charity allows us to focus on long-term community outcomes by continuing to invest in education, expanding access to healthcare and developing initiatives that address the needs of the Yarra Valley.
