The YVWH Free Lactation Drop-In offers families across Healesville and the Yarra Valley access to professional lactation support in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you're experiencing feeding challenges, looking for reassurance, or simply have questions about your feeding journey, our drop-in clinic provides an opportunity to connect with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and receive evidence-informed guidance.
As a registered charity and not-for-profit healthcare organisation, improving access to trusted healthcare and education is at the heart of what we do. Our free lactation drop-in is one of the ways we're working towards making specialised breastfeeding support more accessible for our local community.

This service is suitable for parents and babies at any stage of their feeding journey who would benefit from general breastfeeding support, guidance or reassurance.
You may choose to attend if you have questions about:
Breastfeeding and positioning
Latching concerns
Nipple discomfort
Milk supply
Expressing and pumping
Bottle feeding and combination feeding
Returning to work while breastfeeding
Introducing solids while continuing to breastfeed
Weaning
General infant feeding questions
Breastfeeding after mastitis or blocked ducts
Feeding confidence and reassurance
No concern is too small. Sometimes a conversation and the right information can make all the difference.
What to expect
The YVWH Free Lactation Drop-In is designed to provide accessible, community-based breastfeeding support in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
During the session, you'll have the opportunity to speak with our IBCLC, ask questions, discuss any feeding concerns and receive practical, evidence-informed advice tailored to your situation.
If your concerns require a more comprehensive assessment or ongoing management, we'll discuss whether an individual lactation consultation would be beneficial.

Location: Yarra Valley Women's Health, Healesville
When: Alternate Fridays from 10:30 am – 11:30 am
Cost: Free
Bookings: Bookings are required, with places limited to 4 per session.
